Raw Materials
The raw materials which you will need to make one container are:
• 50 kg of clean fine sand
• 25 kg of cement (1/2 bag of cement)
• clean water
• sand - to fill the mould
Note: When you are mixing the mortar, use the minimum amount of water possible, but enough to allow the mortar to be applied with a trowel. When measuring the cement : sand ratio use measuring boxes or buckets. Do not measure by shovel–fulls as often this does not give reliable results, especially if there are many people involved in the preparation of the mix.
