Ingredients
3/4 CUP PLUS 2 TBLSP. WARM WATER
1 TBLSP. OIL
2 1/4 TSP. DRY YEAST
1/4 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
1 TSP. CINNAMON
2 1/4 CUPS FLOUR
1 TSP. SALT
1/2 CUP RAISINS OR CURRANTS
1/2 LB FRESH CHERRIES (RINSED, PITTED AND HALVED) THIS IS ABOUT 2 CUPS.
Preparation
- USE THE USUAL BREAD METHODS.
- KNEAD AND ALLOW FIRST RISE IN A LIGHTLY OILED BOWL.
- FORM ON A PIZZA PAN AND ALLOW TO RISE SECOND TIME.
- GENTLY DIMPLE THE DOUGH WITH YOUR FINGERTIPS AND SPREAD THE FRESH CHERRIES OVER TOP.
- SPRINKLE WITH 1 TBLSP WHITE SUGAR.
- BAKE AT 400° UNTIL TOP IS SOFT AND BROWNED, 20-25 MINUTES.
